3toGo is made by Micro Habit Labs (Tanvir Singh Manku). It helps you manage your own screen time by asking short language-learning questions before unlocking apps you choose to block. Your Screen Time data and your learning stay on your iPhone. The only things that leave it are the app events described under Analytics and advertising measurement.
3toGo uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) frameworks with your explicit permission, solely to block and unblock the apps you select on your own device. The identifiers of your selected apps and all related usage state never leave your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share Screen Time data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising or measurement of any kind.
Your question history, streaks, points, and progress are stored locally on your device. So are your XP, emergency unlocks and vacation days. There's no account and no 3toGo server, so none of it is uploaded, and it doesn't sync to your other devices.
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details. When a free trial starts or a subscription is paid, the app tells Meta which plan it was and the currency, and for a payment the price, as described below.
3toGo includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK so we can measure whether our ads lead to installs and subscriptions. The SDK reports these events to Meta:
With each event the SDK also sends basic device details such as your device model, screen size, iOS and app version, language and time zone, your IP address, and a random ID the SDK creates for this install of the app. It can also send Meta crash and diagnostic information that isn't linked to you.
It does not receive your Screen Time data, the apps you block, your answers or your progress, because the app never gives any of that to it, and there's no account to share.
Once you have an active free trial or subscription, 3toGo asks you once, the next time you open it, with Apple's standard prompt, whether it may track you. If you allow it, the Meta SDK also sends your device's advertising identifier with events from then on (such as app opens and subscription payments). Meta can then connect those events to the ads you saw and to other information it holds, to measure our ads and decide who sees them.
If you don't allow it, or you're never asked, iOS doesn't give the app or the SDK your advertising identifier, and Meta measures the events in aggregate. The events above are still sent either way.
You can change your answer any time in iOS Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
Meta is the only company the app shares data with. Its terms for businesses require it to protect this data at least as well as this policy does, and its Privacy Policy explains how it keeps and deletes it. There are no other third-party analytics or trackers in the app.
If you've turned on sharing with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may also send us crash reports from your device. That's Apple's setting, and you can turn it off there.
We don't run a server, so we don't keep a copy of your Screen Time data, your answers or your progress. Deleting the app removes most of its data from your iPhone. iOS can keep a small shared file the widget and blocking use (recent streak days, a few Spanish words and your blocked-app settings), and 3toGo clears the streak and words if you reinstall. To wipe your progress before you delete the app, use Reset 3toGo in Settings, Your data.
Deleting the app doesn't remove events Meta has already received. Meta keeps and deletes those under its Privacy Policy, and you can manage how Meta uses data for ads in your Meta account settings. We keep support emails only as long as we need them to help you, and we'll delete yours if you ask. For any other request about your data, email us and we'll do what we can.
3togo.app and these policy pages are plain static sites. They set no cookies, run no analytics or trackers, and load no fonts from anyone else. Cloudflare hosts 3togo.app and GitHub Pages hosts these policy pages, and each gets your IP address and browser details when a page loads, because that's how the page reaches you. If you email us, we get your email address and whatever you write, and we use it to reply.
I sometimes email Spanish teachers and language schools about 3toGo. I take the name and work email shown on your school's public website and keep them, with a note of what I sent and any reply, in a private spreadsheet. I do this because I think the app is useful to Spanish teachers, which is a normal business reason to get in touch. Reply "no" to any email and I'll stop. I then keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list so it never happens again, and delete the rest within 12 months of my last email to you, or sooner if you ask.
You can revoke Screen Time permission at any time in iOS Settings, and you can wipe your progress any time with Reset 3toGo in Settings, Your data. You can turn tracking off at any time in iOS Settings.
